Behind the Glass– A Photographer’s Vision

White Balance

Mood : exhausted

I’ve been having some issues with my WB lately, but I think much of that is resolved now. Part of the problem, in particular with this portrait, is the skin/hair tone and clothing values versus the backdrop. Must chose more wisely next time! -makes mental note-

At any rate, I’m thinking this is looking far better than it did to begin with. A bit flat, but I believe that has more to do with his skin + hair and the drop than anything.

Wow, it’s November already. I’m not quite sure what happened to the first three quarters of the year. I’m pretty pooped, but plug on I will.  I’m so behind on everything– I’m really interested in going to a 36-48 hour day cycle. This 24 hour business just doesn’t cut it! ;) I’ve still not finished updating my book to the edit recommendations; have an exam tomorrow that I’m only just now about to start studying for; still needing to finish up a couple of papers on the Tanzania trip; have yet to upload images for a nature photog submission which has a deadline of urmm tomorrow, I think; the house is in need of some TLC and I need to spend some quality time in the laundry room; autumn colors are in full force here in NW Tennessee and if I don’t catch them soon, I won’t at all (one of our trees out front has lost all but about 3 dozen of its leaves); and I need to find time upload x-mas cards and anniversary photos to the lab.

This weekend I have a new born session as well as an engagement on campus that I must photograph. Everything’s got to be done before I leave for Cleaveland Thursday morning. Time is not my friend! heh Maybe if I stop sleeping altogether…
