Behind the Glass– A Photographer’s Vision

Sir Drop, he’s famous.

Somewhere along the way, I’ve become one of those weird cat people. Don’t ask me how it happened, because I can’t say. But nonetheless, it has indeed happened. My animals (although the dogs too) have their own little web pages of sorts. Profiles, photos, even a journal. Today, Young Master Drop’s diary was selected as the kitty diary of the day. So he’s relishing in his 15 minutes of fame. Needless to say, we’re the doting aunt and uncle. To commemorate this special day, he decided that he’d like to have a mini photo shoot under the tree. Here are the spoils.

Such a handsome beast.

Emo Gummy.

And Athena, of course, was not content allowing Gummy to have all the lime light to himself, so she had to sneak in a shot or two. ;)

In other, unrelated, but more pertinent to the blog, news… I have made no progress on the web site in months. I need to get to it, but I am not really sure how I want it to look, I thought I did, but now I’m a bit unsure. At any rate, I’d like to get it done soon, preferably before classes resume. I have been working on an identity package, however. It’s coming along nicely. I’ve created a client thank you card as well as a spring mailing. I need to do some other things and then I’ll send all the files off to the lab for prints/cards/whatnot. They look nice. :) I’ll probably post some snaps later once I’ve received all the material.

As well, a happy new year and well wishes for all!

O Christmas Tree

December 22nd, 2006 by Rachel

So tonight I *finally* put the tree up. Yes, that’s right threeish days before x-mas. Technically it was after midnight when I finished. hah I didn’t put anything else up, save the stocking and one of the wreaths and I only put about 1/8th of the ornaments on the tree. Just am not really feeling up to it. I even slacked on the photo taking. Just took a couple real quick with the p&s. This year the tree has a new location. Mostly because it’s old home is being occupied by other things this year. At any rate, here’s a photo.

'O Christmas Tree

I think I’d like to buy a new tree for next year– a pre-lit tree. One that’s fuller and maybe a bit taller. And a new tree skirt! I saw a beautiful one at Hobby Lobby the other day– half off even. But I resisted the temptation. It was v. difficult, I might add, but I don’t need to buy anything else for a while.

All of the gifts I ordered are in, wrapped and under the tree; save one that is ruined– the collage I made a couple weeks ago. Oh well. It looked nice when I got it.

Saturday we have two x-mas things to go to. Jeff’s grandmother’s and his parents’. I am not really sure why his parents decided to have their x-mas thing on Saturday… I know why his grandmother did though. He didn’t ask. It’ll be nice to only have one to do on Monday though. Hooray.

Anyhow, happy holidays everyone!

Cheers,

R

P.S. My new rep cards are in and they look great! I’ll maybe post a photo soon.
